Whatcom Community College welcomes applications for a Part-Time, Adjunct Instructor position to teach Chemistry beginning spring quarter 2025.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and implement instructional material for lecture and lab settings in a face-to-face format.
  • Hold office hours in either a face-to-face or on-line format.
  • Prepare and evaluate assessments for lecture and lab settings.
  • Collaborate with other instructors.
  • Read and respond to emails from students, faculty, and staff.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Chemistry or a closely related discipline.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience teaching in a post-secondary institution, particularly a community college.
  • Knowledge of, or willingness to, incorporate the use of a learning management system to increase accessibility for all students.

Salary

Salary:

  • $7,078.00 to teach Chemistry 121 spring quarter. Potential opportunity to teach additional classes depending on qualifications, interest and availability.

Start Date:

  • Spring quarter 2025.

Pay: $2,359.33 per month

Schedule:

  • Day shift
  • Monday to Friday

Ability to Relocate:

  • Bellingham, WA 98226: Relocate before starting work (Required)
