Job Summary

The University of Michigan-Dearborn College of Engineering and Computer Science has an exciting opportunity for a MSEL Project Center Student Technician. The MSEL Project Center provides a makerspace for hands-on, collaborative learning that allows students to design, build, and test their creations.

The selected candidate will be responsible for helping MSEL staff in overseeing the use of the student makerspace, enforcing best practices in industrial and research operations for safety, effectively deploying resources, and, as necessary, training of participating students and student project teams. The student technician will play a valuable role in mentoring fellow students with their projects, as well as maintaining the standards set by the MSEL.

Only current UM-Dearborn students are eligible to apply.  Work-study award recipients preferred.

This position requires a non-standard evening schedule. Specific hours are variable and negotiable and will be determined upon hire.
