Position Summary:
The Finance Coordinator, FP&A is responsible for supporting the Financial Planning & Analysis group functions including the Operating Plan, month-end close, Corporate Insurance renewals and business operations. In addition, this position will support efforts in the development of financial planning and reporting, presentation preparation, as well as other tools and processes to support the FP&A group. The individual will work with teams and department heads across the Company as well as within the Finance group to complete projects in a timely and accurate manner.
Responsibilities:
Support all financial planning activities (budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning) across the SG&A and R&D divisions
Build and distribute budget templates for SG&A and R&D Departments
Generate and distribute quarterly spending reports to Department heads
R&D Time Administrator - Collect timekeeping data from R&D employees and generate FTE reporting in the R&D Time system
Construct insightful and intuitive PowerPoint presentations as needed
Gather data and prepare annual insurance renewal applications as required
Integrate headcount metric and FTE data loads into adaptive planning
Maintain Adaptive report library keeping reports up to date and construct new reporting solutions as requested by the business
Assist Patient Advocacy by tracking committed and expensed philanthropic initiatives
Populate stock compensation and other planned accounts during the annual budgeting and rolling forecasting process
Perform ad hoc variance analysis as needed
Aid in entering actuals into adaptive in support of reforecasting efforts
Monitor and close out purchase orders as needed
Update invoicing in IPA Workbooks in support of clinical trial expense recognition
Perform all financial planning activities (budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning) for an R&D Department
Responsible for all month-end close activities (accruals, entering journal entries, variance analysis) for an R&D Department
Education/Experience Requirements:
Bachelor's degree with concentration in Finance, or related field of study.Equivalent combination of education and applicable job experience may be considered.
Minimum 1-2 years' of relevant work experience.
Experience in Biotech or Pharmaceutical industry preferred.

All positions have an essential job function to be able to perform face to face work with colleagues and/or onsite in San Diego. No role is expected to be 100% remote.

Compensation: Our competitive compensation package includes a combination of both cash compensation (base pay and short-term incentive) and long-term incentive compensation (company stock), designed to recognize, retain, and reward employees.
Target Base Pay Range:
$58,000.00 - $75,000.00*This information is current as of the date of this posting and may be modified in the future. Actual pay offered to a candidate will depend on a variety of factors including the candidate's experience, education, skills, and location.
