Job Summary

Scottsdale Community College is seeking a Program Coordinator (Healthcare and Nursing Sciences) Specially Funded who performs basic research, preliminary analysis, coordination, and transactional support related to Healthcare and Nursing Sciences programs. This position provides basic coordination and oversight of Healthcare and Nursing Sciences programs, assists with the development and implementation of program guidelines, forms, policies, and procedures. The Program Coordinator provides basic program information to students, faculty, staff and the public, and monitors, tracks, and ensures compliance with policies and procedures, and performs basic research and preliminary analysis related to Healthcare and Nursing Sciences programs.

This is a specially funded position with an expected job end date of June 30, 2025, with renewal contingent on funding source.

To best serve the students, department, and college, this position requires a physical presence on campus.

Essential Functions

45% - Provides basic coordination and oversight of Healthcare and Nursing Sciences programs; responds to inquiries and solves problems in accordance with policies and procedures; works with Maricopa District Healthcare and Nursing policy procedures, college, hospitals, AZ State Board of Nursing, policies, and procedures; serves as a program liaison providing process and procedural coordination and support; assists with the development and implementation of program guidelines, forms, policies and procedures; creates documents, reports, correspondence, and other communication materials; reviews and processes documents related to student status, health and safety documents;  monitors, tracks, and ensures compliance with policies and procedures; schedules, prioritizes, coordinates, and provides basic coordination and oversight; provides basic program information to students, faculty, staff and the public; prepares correspondence and reports; responds to email, fax, etc.; presents program information to students during information sessions.

35% - Organizes, updates and maintains program records, files, manuals and other documentation in accordance to the policies and procedures; compiles and maintains confidential student and faculty records to meet federal, state and college requirements; oversees the maintenance of files, records, database information and documentation related to Healthcare and Nursing Sciences Department compliance with Board of Nursing, and Higher Learning Commission; uses technology and multiple online platforms and systems, such as Customer Relations Management (CRM), Student Information System (SIS), Google Suites, Microsoft Office, MyClinicalExchange, Complio/American Databank, etc.; designs and formats complex documents; composes original documents, correspondence, and presentations.

10% - Performs basic research and preliminary analysis related to Healthcare and Nursing Sciences programs; gathers information, compiles, reviews, analyzes, and summarizes data and information; coordinating cohort clinical placements with different clinical partners; provides coordination of activities and support of projects, programs, or services.

10% - Provides training and orientation for other staff; other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree from a regionally accredited institution in education, business or public administration, or a directly related field and one (1) year of experience full-time equivalent in researching information, gathering data, performing preliminary analysis and preparing reports.
OR
Associate’s Degree from a regionally accredited institution in education, business or public administration, or a directly related field and three (3) years of experience full-time equivalent in researching information, gathering data, performing preliminary analysis and preparing reports.
OR 
High School Diploma/GED and five (5) years of experience full-time equivalent in researching information, gathering data, performing preliminary analysis and preparing reports.

Desired Qualifications

A. Two (2) years’ experience in customer service.
B. Two (2) years or more prior experience coordinating clinical placement in a nursing and/or nursing assistant program using platforms such as MyClinical Exchange and American Databank 
C. Two (2) years or more prior experience working in an occupational educational or health care setting.
D. Two (2) years or more prior experience maintaining confidential documents and records.
E. Two (2) years or more prior experience using office technology/online computer systems including Excel, Word, and Google forms to create and manage data.

Special Working Conditions

● Travel to campus during the interview/selection process will be at the candidate's own expense.
● Will be required to travel or be assigned to other MCCCD locations.
● May be required to work evenings and weekends.
● May require prolonged periods of sitting and viewing a computer screen.
● May be required to lift or carry up to 25 lbs.
● This position requires a physical presence on campus.
