Ignite Digital, has an exciting opportunity for a Jira Service Desk Technician to support Supply Chain and Process Automation in San Diego. This induvial will be required to learn to code or knows how to code. The ideal candidate is someone interested in learning or wants to expand their experience with Jira Service Desk (not Jira), PowerApps, Android, Windows, Python, and C++ coding development. We want a self-starter willing to fail forward with strong analytical skills and a strong work ethic willing to dig deep and learn on the job as they go. This role has the opportunity for one to advance their technical acumen while continually being able to increase compensation as they learn.
This position serves an important role in supporting the Navy's Navwar Information Warfare Center (NIWC) Pacific Process Automation and Supply Chain Management teams through Jira Service Desk and PowerApps. The Jira Service Desk Technician will assist developers in troubleshooting, debugging, and assist as needed to improve existing processes within Jira, using, automation, various elements connections, and workflow development methodologies.
Responsibilities:
* Seek out improvements within the JIRA infrastructure, utilizing the platform to process, and deliver actionable workflows to clients and end users for strategic decision making
* Evaluate, manage, and help implement solutions within current business processes to optimize efficiencies in collaboration with supply chain and process automation SMEs
* Read and analyze dashboards that reconcile key performance and operational data for the command to drive actionable objectives through Jira Service Desk and PowerApps
* Support JIRA service center by collaborating with current team members and stakeholders
* Identify methods to collect, analyze, and manage data with the goal of making recommendations to improve data quality and the efficiency of the command
* Evaluate the performance and applicability of tools against customer and client requirements
* Foster collaborative business relationships with stakeholders, business partners, and team members
* Collaborate with Navy clients on enterprise reporting and objectives
Minimum Qualifications:
* Ability to obtain a DoD security clearance
* High School diploma or higher
* Experience or willing to learn coding using Python, C++, Power Platform, JIRA Service Desk, Android, or Windows development
* Basic understanding of developing, implementing, and supporting the usage of JIRA toolkits
* Basic knowledge or ability to learn in JIRA apps, such as:
o Actions for JIRA Service Desk
o Adaptavist ScriptRunner for JIRA
o Automation for JIRA
o Elements Connect, Copy, and Sync
o Enterprise Mail Handler (JEMH) for JIRA Data Center

* Basic knowledge of data visualization and dashboards
* Strong customer service experience
* Ability to learn quickly and retain new knowledge
* Ability to work independently and maintain deadlines
* Strong communication skills
* Experience working with a variety of stakeholders, from managers to technical resources, to include the translation of business requirements into operational measures and reports
* Ability to take initiative and work independently, and quickly transition to reassess priorities
Preferred Qualifications:
* Active DoD security clearance
* Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, Finance, Business, Economics or other related field
* Experience with DoD/NAVWAR business practices, data management systems and processes
* Experience with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems
* Ability to work alongside a dynamic group of Jira Service Desk and Power Platform developers
* Adapts quickly to new situations, is willing to learn new technologies and works well in a team environment, leading individual projects without the need for supervision
*Ability to obtain a DoD Government Security Clearance is mandatory for this position*
Salary to align with education & experience
