We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Project Manager Assistant to support the management, coordination, outreach, and engagement of national soybean outreach programs. Both programs involve multiple land-grant institutions working to deliver research-based best management practices (BMPs) for US soybean farmers. The ideal candidate will assist with planning, scheduling, communication, and administrative tasks to ensure projects/programs are executed. This role will require excellent organizational abilities, strong communication skills, a proactive approach to problem-solving, and a high degree of independence. Essential job duties may include, but are not limited to:
- Assist the Program Manager in planning, organizing, and overseeing project/grant timelines and deliverables. This may include tracking and reporting project milestones, deadlines, budgets, and documentation.
- Meeting coordination, including scheduling, organizing calendar invites/logistics, preparing agendas and meeting minutes, etc.
- Event coordination, including scheduling, travel/accommodations, agenda preparation, catering/entertainment, materials preparation, etc.
- Support the Bean Binoculars tool, including, but not limited to the recruitment of contributors, entry of new submissions to the website, management of training documents, advertising/promoting the tool, etc.
- Assistance with the coordination of strategic plans, including working with committees or working groups to achieve strategic priorities.
- Manage shared files and project management software to keep all documentation up to date.
- Track expenses, grant budgets, etc. to assist with overall grant accounting.
- Provide vision for impact tracking, strategic planning, etc.
- Communicate with team members, clients, vendors, and stakeholders as needed to ensure alignment and address concerns.
- Support the preparation of presentations, proposals, and other project-related materials.

Minimum Experience/Education
- Bachelor’s degree and one year of experience related to the area of assignment; or equivalent combination of training and experience
