Join Scripps Health where you will be responsible for the management of the centralized Patient Monitoring Center at Scripps Health, delivering essential services such as continuous telemetry, Virtual Patient Observation (VPO), and end-tidal CO2 monitoring across patient care sites.
Develop and maintain comprehensive business continuity plans and ensures effective communication standards between remote monitoring teams and care sites. Design, implement, and uphold clinical escalation algorithms and policies to ensure the safe and efficient transition of patients through the continuum of care.
Cultivate a clinical environment that aligns with Scripps Health's commitment to high-quality care, safety, and best practices.
Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to drive continuous performance improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing patient outcomes.
Oversee the daily operations of the assigned unit, including the development of staffing plans, resource allocation, and ensuring that appropriate equipment and support are available for staff to perform at their best.
Be accountable for managing and meeting operational budgets, ensuring fiscal responsibility while maintaining high standards of patient care.
Required Education, Experience, and Specialized Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, with a minimum of five years of applicable clinical experience, including at least two years in a leadership role.
- Exceptional communication, problem-solving, team building, and planning skills, with a strong ability to follow through on initiatives.
- Proven ability to exercise authority and responsibility for assigned services, considering the scope of the organization and the complexity of patient care.
Required Certification and Registration:
- Current California RN license.
- Current American Heart Association Healthcare Provider BLS certification.
Preferred Education, Experience, Specialized Skills, and Certification:
- Master's degree or MSN is preferred.
- Acute care Telemetry experience highly preferred.
- Specialty certification in relevant area preferred.
