DESCRIPTION

As part of the only academic health system in San Diego, the Sulpizio Cardiovascular Center is a hub of discovery and innovation. Our physicians and researchers are on the front lines of fighting heart and vascular diseases - at the patients' bedsides, in the research lab, and in our community. The technologies, techniques and treatments we develop are setting standards in cardiac care.

Under the supervision of the on duty charge nurse, the hospital telemetry technician carries out dysrhythmia monitoring responsibilities. Monitors, identifies, and reports to RN cardiac rhythms, arrhythmias, and any changes in baseline rhythm. Communicates with physicians and nurses any changes in rate, rhythm, measurements. Acts as resource to staff. Achieves trust in professional relationship with nursing staff and physicians.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  • BART or BLS at time of hire with commitment to get BART within six (6) months of hire date.

  • Successful completion of a telemetry technician course/and or ECG training course.

  • A minimum of one (1) year of Telemetry Tech experience.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Telemetry Tech Certification.
  • One (1) year of Telemetry Tech experience in an ICU environment.
SPECIAL CONDITIONS
  • Must be able to work various hours and locations based on business needs.
  • Employment is subject to a criminal background check and pre-employment physical

Pay Transparency Act

Annual Full Pay Range: $60,990 - $60,990 (will be prorated if the appointment percentage is less than 100%)

Hourly Equivalent: $29.21 - $29.21

Factors in determining the appropriate compensation for a role include experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. The Hiring Pay Scale referenced in the job posting is the budgeted salary or hourly range that the University reasonably expects to pay for this position. The Annual Full Pay Range may be broader than what the University anticipates to pay for this position, based on internal equity, budget, and collective bargaining agreements (when applicable).
