Job Description
Summary of Position
Keene State College seeks a tenure-track Assistant Professor of Accounting to join its Business Management Department in August 2025. This position offers the unique opportunity to be a founding faculty member for the college’s new B.S. in Accounting program.
Our mission is to equip graduates with problem-solving skills for a competitive global marketplace while providing a comprehensive liberal arts foundation. The department maintains strong ties with local businesses through internships, workshops, and service-learning initiatives.
The ideal candidate will teach a variety of core Accounting and Finance courses, including Intermediate Accounting, Cost Accounting, Taxation, Auditing, and Corporate Finance. The teaching load is three 4-credit courses per semester. Additional duties include departmental and campus service, maintaining an active research agenda, and pursuing professional development.
We seek an individual who can foster collaborative relationships with students, colleagues, and local practitioners. A commitment to scholarship and the ability to contribute to our department’s growth are essential.

Acceptable Minimum Qualifications
Earned Doctorate in an appropriate field by August 1, 2025. ABD near completion and/or master’s degree and CPA will also be considered; and evidence of scholarship in the field required.
Additional Preferred Qualifications
Teaching experience at the college or university level, professional work experience in a non-academic position is a plus. Additionally, the College has identified desirable qualifications that support our commitment to creating and maintaining a diverse campus community including the ability to speak a second language or to bring a multicultural perspective to the campus.
Salary Information
Salary is based on the prevailing Collective Bargaining Unit Agreement; current rank minimum for for an Assistant Professor is $75,230. Subject to change with anticipated Collective Bargaining Unit Agreement. Salary is complemented by a comprehensive benefits package.
