Responsibilities
The faculty member will maintain active didactic and experiential teaching assignments and College service commensurate with rank and experience. Didactic teaching assignments will reflect the professional expertise of the faculty member and may include integrated therapeutical lectures, clinical patient and physical assessment techniques in pharmacy skills courses, and application of knowledge in a small classroom environment. Clinical practice and experience teaching will be coordinated with an established medical partner of the College and afford the faculty the opportunity to provide direct-patient care services in an institutional setting.
Develops and maintains a clinical practice in General Medicine with an established partner of the College; Provides experiential education opportunities in General Medicine for fourth professional year PharmD learners; Develops and deliver high-level, engaging didactic lessens within assigned courses; Coordinates and manages the deployment or required and elective courses as assigned; Develops partnerships with local organization leaders and preceptors; Enhances, maintains and secures experiential training sites; Attends and participate in the division of Pharmacy Practice and College meetings and other committee meetings as assigned; Advises pharmacy learners as assigned; Performs teaching responsibilities as assigned by the Division Director of Pharmacy Practice; and engages in scholarly activity relevant to their practice and teaching assignments.
Minimum Qualifications
The candidate must have earned a PharmD PGY1 residency training or comparable experience more or equal to five years. The candidate must be licensed or eligible for licensure in Florida. Preference will be given to candidates with the following experiences or credentials: teaching, board certification, research and grant writing, hospital practice with an experience in oncology, clinical pharmacokinetics and pharmacogenomics, and/or critical care/cardiology practice settings.
