Join the Midlands African Chamber (MAC) as our Programs Coordinator and help drive meaningful change for businesses across Nebraska and the Midwest.

Key Responsibilities:
- Program Management: Plan, coordinate, and execute MAC’s signature programs such as MAC Xcelerator, Rising CEOs, Pitch Black, Suit Up, Umoja, and Power Hour. You’ll ensure smooth operations and help shape new initiatives to support our mission.
- Event Coordination: Organize and promote networking events, business workshops, and community activities. You’ll be at the center of fostering strong relationships between members and local partners.
- Sponsorships & Development: Help secure sponsorships for MAC events and initiatives. You’ll also support fundraising efforts by assisting with grant tracking and preparing communications with donors.
- Volunteer Management: Recruit, develop, and retain volunteers and program participants, building a community of engaged stakeholders.
- Social Media & Communication: Act as the point of contact for all programs on social media, promoting events and initiatives on platforms like LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, and more.
- Administrative Support: Handle program-related clerical tasks, coordinate with the Chamber Board, and ensure timely communication with members, volunteers, and participants.
Required Skills & Abilities:
- Commitment to MAC’s mission of empowering African and African American communities.
- Proven ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and meet deadlines.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, able to build relationships and collaborate across teams.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Google Suite, Canva, and social media platforms.
- Creative problem-solving skills and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of the African and African American community and nonprofit landscape is a plus.
- Valid Nebraska driver’s license and ability to attend events outside regular business hours.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Associate Degree in fields such as Business Administration, Management, Finance, Marketing, or Education preferred. Relevant experience may be substituted.
- At least one year of experience in business administration, event coordination, or nonprofit program management preferred.
