Job Description

RECRUITER, Human Resources, to provide proactive staffing support and counsel that ensures a hiring process that is responsive to client needs and is as efficient as possible by utilizing all available technology and resources. Will actively source talent for key roles across the MIT community with a focus on outreach to women, minorities, veterans, and individuals with disabilities; screen, interview candidates, conduct reference checks, and extend offers; maintain requisition notes and candidate dispositions in the applicant tracking system; manage and communicate with candidates throughout the hiring process to ensure a positive candidate experience; support the development of active and passive candidate pipelines; ensure job advertising on appropriate external sites, and be responsible--as part of a team--for developing, implementing, and maintaining strategies that support community outreach, identification of qualified diverse candidate pools, and the sharing of top talent across the Institute. May facilitate workshops on hiring best practices. 

 

Job Requirements:
REQUIRED: Bachelor’s degree and at least five years in recruiting or related experience. Proven ability to source, recruit, select, and hire diverse applicants, excellent written and verbal communication skills, effective presentation skills. Team player with the ability to work collaboratively; strong problem-solving skills and a sense of urgency; customer-focused with excellent organizational skills. Proficient in MS Office Suite, use of applicant tracking systems, and LinkedIn. Preferred: SHRM, PHR, The Sourcing Institute, or AIRS certifications. Job #24463-9
