The Fine Arts and Entertainment Technology departments offers a wide range of academic and technical studies including graphic design, digital media, technical theatre, studio arts, dance, music, theatre, and video production.

The Part-Time Specialist maintains all photography spaces, supervises lab hours, and assists Fine Arts photography faculty.

 

Job Description

Responsibilities and Duties Include:

• Supervises safe use of studios outside of regular class times.
• Supervises MSDS and safe use of chemicals in Photo Lab for Art Phot student course projects.
• Reports any accidents, incidents, or property damage to the Safety Coordinator.
• Maintains equipment and supplies.
• Ensures Material Safety Data sheets are up-to-date and logged.
• Cleans classroom/art studios and properly disposes of hazardous materials.
• Research professional resources.
• Organizes equipment and supplies in all storage areas.
• Provides service excellence through courteous, informed, accessible, and professional engagement.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

Required: A bachelor's degree and/or a combination of education and experience equal to four (4) years.

Additional Requirements: A criminal background check will be conducted.

• Problem Solving – proven skills in identifying issues, determining their cause, developing creative solutions, and following through with implementing resolutions.
• Systems & Software - proficient level of knowledge of Microsoft Office and/or relevant position software programs.
• Detail Oriented - Proven accuracy and attention to detail.
• Multi-task - Ability to expeditiously organize, coordinate, manage, prioritize, and perform multiple tasks simultaneously to swiftly assess a situation, determine a logical course of action, and apply the appropriate response.
