Job Description
SUMMARY
Provides administrative oversight for the outreach, implementation, and management functions for assigned program.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Assist with planning, organizing, developing and facilitating assigned programs and events.
- Assist with the formation of partnerships with business, industry, community agencies, state and federal agencies to meet the needs of the assigned program.
- Enhance exposure to skilled workforce employment opportunities.
- Gather and maintain data for and assist in preparing reports, often using a variety of computer software; prepare statistics and reports on program participation, marketing responses, budget, and evaluations.
- Keep current on trends, compliance issues, regulations and guidelines regarding subject matter; advise supervisor accordingly.
- Monitor progress of all community partners, prepare reports and evaluations of activities as required.
QUALIFICATIONS
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform the essential duties and responsibilities listed above. The qualifications listed below are representative of the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and/or abilities required.
EDUCATION
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Business Education or related field required.
Master’s degree or higher preferred.
EXPERIENCE
3 years experience in student retention, training, teaching, project management, program development and implementation, program sustainment, preferably in a related position within an institution of higher education required.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
- Methods and techniques of program marketing and publicity.
- Methods and techniques of program development and evaluation.
- Demonstrated ability to work with a diverse population.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills required.
- Demonstrated proficiency with computers, including: MS Office applications, and presentation software.
- Strong organizational skills and project management skills and the ability to work collaboratively with all levels of the organization.
- Able to build strong and positive working relationships that promote program enhancements.
