M9 Solutions is seeking aSystems Integration and Test Engineer to work on a government contract for a client located inSan Diego, CA. An active Top Secret/SCI clearance with the ability to obtain a Poly is required.


Responsibilities

  • Responsible for installing new releases, testing new and regression functionality of the baseline.
  • Debug and troubleshoot software and system level problem.
  • Work with other members of the integration team to help both the test partition test events, such as IT, and IV&V.
  • Provide factory support to the O&S engineers when there are issues on the production level systems to ensure minimized down time.
  • Implement baseline changes and respond to change request.
  • Perform technical evaluations, analysis, and troubleshoot for all supported functionalities.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Work Authorization: US Citizenship is required.
  • An active Top Secret/SCI clearance with the ability to obtain a Poly is required.
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or information technology or similar discipline is required.
  • An active Security+ certification.
  • Knowledge of the following: Linux+, Unix, and Windows.
  • Knowledge of existing server technologies including principles and methods used in obtaining maximum utilization of server technologies.
  • Knowledge of multiple specialties such as operating systems, email or database platforms, storage technologies, or hardware support, including knowledge of operating systems.
  • Knowledge of communications and information security policies and procedures.
  • Ability to identify complex problems and review related information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions.
  • Ability to arrange or take actions in an order or pattern according to a specific rule or set of rules.
  • Experience with update services such as Yum (RHEL flavor).
  • Experience with scripting using bash scripts and programming using Ansible.
  • Demonstrated experience working on remote Systems via use of command line.
  • Demonstrated experience configuring Linux firewall/routing/networking.
  • Experience integrating Linux servers in Active Directory (or using LDAP/Kerberos).
  • Experience installing and configuring basic services including httpd/Apache, FTPD.
  • Knowledge with scripting languages such as Python and Perl to create and update automated test scripts.
  • Ability to use verbal and written communication skills to present information to a diverse population (technical and non-technical).
  • Ability to work well independently and as a member of a team.

Preferred Skills and Qualifications

  • Willingness to learn Windows Systems Administration on a cross-function Agile Team.
  • Ability to provide innovative solutions for routine issues and tasks.
  • Knowledge of Agile and Scrum methodologies.
  • Knowledge of theory and practice underlying satellite and LAN/WAN network operations.
  • Scripting experience using Perl, Python or similar advanced scripting languages.
  • Willingness to learn and implement Scrum framework, Lean principles, Agile engineering and DevOps.

  • M9 Solutions' pay range for this position is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include, but are not limited to, responsibilities of the position, education, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, as well as internal equity, location, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.

Salary Range
$60,000$180,000 USD
