Position Summary:
The Postdoctoral Fellow position focused on neurodegeneration research. Your responsibilities will encompass investigating the underlying mechanisms of neurodegenerative diseases, including amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), Alzheimer’s disease, and Parkinson’s disease.
Your work will involve a multifaceted approach, including:
In Vivo Studies: Conducting research using mouse models to explore mechanisms of disease progression.
Biochemical Analyses: Investigating molecular pathways and biomarkers.
Cell Culture and Imaging: Utilizing cell and tissue imaging techniques to study mechanisms of neuronal dysfunction.
Experimental Procedures: Cell culture and analysis of metabolic and functional state; cell imaging; iPSC-derived brain cells; western blots; immunocytochemistry; immunohistochemistry; recombinant protein production. In vivo: performing treatments, biofluid sampling, behavioral/motor testing, euthanasia.
