The Franciscan Sisters of the Poor is seeking an experienced Administrator to oversee the operations of the St. Clare Campus in Cincinnati. St. Clare Convent is home to approximately 25 Sisters. A staff of nurses and nursing assistants are directly employed by the Sisters to provide 24/7 nursing oversight and care for those who require it. Dining, housekeeping and other assistance is provided by in-house staff. The Sisters' convent is a private residence, not a licensed care facility.

Requirements include:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Health Care administration, Gerontology or a related field.
  • 5+ years experience as an Administrator in a residential setting for older adults
  • Ohio Nursing Home Administrator License preferred.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Prior experience in a non-profit organization.
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities.
  • Prior experience in a healthcare or religious organization strongly preferred.
  • Familiarity with the Catholic Church structures and teaching preferred.
  • Proficient in MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint, Outlook and Internet

Responsibilities include:

  • Provides oversight of all services offered to the sisters and oversight of business aspects of the convent, including property management for the campus.
  • Collaborates with managers, local ministers and fianance in providing input for departmental and capital budgets.
  • Collaborates with the Nurse Care Manager and Health Nurse to ensure the provision of quality care.
  • Coordinates, directs and supervises the quality and effectiveness of services including healthcare delivery, support services, sisters services, dining, housekeeping and faclities.
  • Collaborates with managers and HR to ensure appropriate staffing levels and employee relations issues as needed.
  • Represents SFP and campus, serving as primary contact for community/public needs or concerns.
