JOB SUMMARY:

The Accounting Manager will oversee and lead various accounting functions and personnel. This individual will play a vital role in ensuring the day-to-day accounting processes and procedures are completed efficiently and accurately. This role will also be responsible for preparing monthly reconciliations and assisting in monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes and procedures. This individual must be able to build relationships across various departments in a positive manner.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Directly lead, manage, develop accounts receivable and accounts payable personnel (4).
  • Perform various daily and monthly general accounting tasks and reconciliations.
  • Provide analytical support to various business segments and departments.
  • Prepare and report financial statements and other financial materials.
  • Identify and implement internal control improvements.
  • Analyze and report business performance to various levels of management.
  • Perform general accounting tasks.

Qualifications:

  • B.S. degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field with accounting concentration
  • Minimum 5-7 years professional experience
  • Master’s Degree or CPA preferred.
  • Experience in food manufacturing or related field is preferred.
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to interact with all levels of employees, leadership, and outside professionals.
  • Outstanding communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to perform, manage and/or direct multiple tasks and determine priorities.
  • Proactive problem-solving skills

PHYSICAL AND MENTAL REQUIREMENTS:

LANGUAGE SKILLS

to read and write effectively. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community. Ability to effectively present information to manager, team members, and external parties and customers.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:

Ability to apply basic math concepts. Ability to apply mathematical concepts to such tasks as frequency distribution.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret instructions and deal with common variables.

Pay: From $95,000.00 per year
