Position Overview
- Project Management
- · Assess current client learning infrastructure and identify opportunities to enhance access, engagement, and program delivery
- · Review past and existing courses, materials, and best practices for in person, online, or offline digital literacy learning modalities
- · Develop new digital literacy curriculum and supporting material to address clients current and emerging needs
- · Monitor learning outcomes and program efficacy through data collection in the form of surveys, interviews, and group feedback sessions
- · Collaborate with other SBSS departments and external partners to improve service delivery across the organization through digital mediums
- · Serve as liaison between SBSS staff, external research partners, and community groups
- · Monitor and manage program budget
- · In conjunction with the Director of Development, identify sources of, and opportunities for, financial support to ensure long-term sustainability of the program.
- · Monitor progress to key deliverables, and report progress to SBSS leadership
- Outreach
- Manage volunteer instructors and SBSS staff part of program
Program Manager, Tech Initiative
- · Perform targeted outreach to SBSS clients and low-income older adults to recruit focus group participants that are racially, ethnically, and linguistically diverse, with varying degrees of digital literacy
- · Utilize effective, multi-pronged, multi-language outreach methods to recruit research participants via direct phone calls and printed materials; and utilize digital outreach methods (email, social media, and our website) to reach the caregivers of older adults. Create outreach materials as needed.
- · Perform outreach to key industry partners for insights, recommendations, and other information
- · With research partners, co-design and co-create an age-friendly and evidence- based digital literacy training curriculum and program, including best practices to ensure the hardest-to-reach older adults are aware of, and able to access this program. Lead the implementation of this pilot program in collaboration with program staff.
- · Conduct pre- and post-training surveys from pilot program participants. In conjunction with external research partners, evaluate pilot program and lead the program improvements in efforts to institutionalize and scale the program.
- Heads the Tech Advisory Committee
- · Working in collaboration with the Director of Development, Public Affairs Specialist, and other leadership; identify, recruit, engage, and manage a tech advisory committee comprising of representatives from the healthcare, technology, and social services sectors. Create framework, roles, and expectations for tech advisory committee. As program progresses, continue to manage and steer committee to utilize them effectively as key partners.
- · Ensure community buy-in for the new training project across all stakeholders through collaborative outreach and training
- External Relations and Communications
- · Presentations to community groups, funders, agencies, senior-serving organizations and other key stakeholders to share the program’s progress
- · Serve as key spokesperson for program to external audiences
- · Educate, advocate, promote program and digital literacy issues among older adults
- · Help facilitate focus groups comprised of industry partners in conjunction with external research partners
- · Solicit feedback and testimonials from program participants. Share program progress and successes via our monthly newsletters, social media, reports to funders, and our website
